It seems that everything we see or touch in our sport has some connection to a team. We all use the word team to identify with and, in some cases, define who we are. Its perfectly normal. However, the only teams USA Cycling recognizes are the UCI registered pro teams. It might feel like you're riding for Texas Roadhouse or Motorex, for example, but the reality is that you ride for the club, Kentucky Fliers. CLUBS, because of the way USA Cycling is structured, are the primary relationship, along side individual licenses holders like rider, mechanic and coach. When you renew your license, one of the questions asks you to identify your club affiliation. Note: Clubs need to renew before their riders to avoid unattached status.
